A quick sketch of my lil'est sis, Bitsy. Or, more specifically, a dress I'm in the process of creating for her. I was "asked" by my mother to make this for her for a Sweet 16 she is in some sort of "entourage" for. I think that's a V.I.P. thing? I don't know, Sweet 16s were different twelve years ago. Oh, I think I just threw up a little.
Anyway, they are all supposed to wear white dresses and red shoes and be teenagers.
It's a one-shouldered Grecian-inspired cocktail length dress (or will be when I get up to the skirt part). The whole top is hand-ruched. I've never needed to do this hand-ruching before, but let me tell you. It is a pain in the tuche. Above is the back.
And this is the front!
This is my inspiration / patterns / measurements / alteration notes / tracing paper / flower holder board.
Up close ruching.
Lord Garland Jenkins. A gift from Chris that hangs above my table.
