Laura's Dress

I made this dress for my soon-to-be-sister-in-law, Laura.  She's got a bunch of weddings to go to this summer (don't we all?) and needed a fun little cocktail dress. She found something she liked online and I put my own little spin on it, and I think it came out fantastic!

But let me tell you, this dress was a big fat challenge.  I've actually been working on it off and on for the last few weeks - one of those projects that you need to just step away from before you set a match to it (like the wedding dress!).  I replaced the top chiffon piece twice because I just wasn't happy with how it as turning out, and edging it with bias tape was a real pain in the tush, but I think all the hard work paid off - it looks pretty darn good.  What do you think?

Have a great day,
Cat

  1. Hey Cat! This is the cutest dress ever! Can you make me one? :)

It looks like it came straight from anthropologie, but cuter. Did you make the pattern up yourself?
