Thare she...sews?
That was terrible.
But this skirt isn't! It's awesome. And its for my future sister-in-law, Patty. She is having a pirate-themed 1st birthday party for her son Logan and requested some sea-worthy duds for her and Chloe (Logan's older sister).
Chloe's dress was my first foray into the world of childenswear. And just because they're smaller does not make it easier. I actually bought a pattern for this one. I haven't used a store-bought pattern since I made my first dress alongside my Aunt Janie when I was in 7th grade. And now I know why: too many rules. I'm more of a 'fly by the seat of my pants' sewer. I hope that doesn't make any potential clients nervous. Chloe's dress will be ready soon!
I tell you, I cannot WAIT to have a daughter so I can dress the two of us in matching outfits. Or a son - whatever happens, happens.
OH my goodness! That skirt is adorable beyond words!
