The Big Plan: Colorblocking

I went to the fabric store near my office yesterday, and much like what happens when I go shopping, I walked in and quite quickly talked myself out of buying anything.  Wet blanket, right? This is why I shop alone and/or fill online carts with merchandise and never checkout

However, this habit of mine is what I like to use to force some creativity.  I'm going to go through my small fabric scraps tonight and start making some color blocked pieces.  I was also inspired by the below top on Modcloth.com that I talked myself out of buying as well:
