Dots-are-the-new-Black Friday

I'm assuming you all are reading this post from you smartphone waiting on line for a $15 flat screen TV or some other ridiculously unbelievable sale, and I applaud your bargain hunger.  I, for one, detest paying full price for things when I can get a deal.  I also detest crowds and waking up early so I am in my pajamas in the comfort of my own home at the moment, nowhere near a store, thinking about polka dots.

I would say that polka dots are making a comeback if I didn't think they were here to stay.   I recently had a stylist-block last week about what to wear underneath a black-and-white striped sweater I have.  I then took a risk and put a white-with-black-dots shirt underneath and voila! Instant awesome.  My husband even noticed this quirky pairing and loved it too. Double-awesome.

I've had this fabric for a while and thought it would make a cute peplum top.  I added a beaded collar that I found for $0.50 at my old favorite fabric store. Its pretty sweet.
