Hi there!
I'm really excited for this new year for a few reasons. Mainly, its a fresh opportunity to get myself organized and scheduled and have this blog-posting business running smoothly. I've been really inspired by blogs such as A Beautiful Mess and Tilly and the Buttons for their goal and project organization, and also their motivation to always be learning new things (there are a whole list of other blogs I religiously follow for these reasons, these are just two examples!).
With that, I give you some New Years Blogging Resolutions:
1. Don't stress if you aren't posting everyday. Just make them good ones and be proud of them. As awesome and easy as re-blogging is, it makes me feel lazy. (But I'll probably do it once in a while - the rest of you have such good blogging ideas!)
2. Making weekly scheduled theme posts, like "Pinteresting Saturdays", and "What's on my Sewing Table Mondays". I think these will give me a little more direction instead of the ol' "what should I post about this week?..." feeling on Sunday nights. I think it will also give me the time to finish my other handmade projects the right way before I post.
3. Don't get down on yourself while reading other people's amazing blogs and looking at their lovely well-lit pictures taken by their talented photographer friends. You have a good blog, Cat. Sometimes you crack 100 page views in a day. That's something to be proud of. Go have a glass of champagne and celebrate!
4. Organize this blog as you would your sewing room (ha!). But seriously. Label things, update your pages (done today! Go ahead and click "Bridal" - it'll take you there now!). Don't be lazy.
5. Promote yourself like your husband tells you to. He's in PR. He's got great ideas. And he's cute.
I think that's enough for now, don't you? I'm excited for this. Any ideas on blog-theme days? I'd love to hear your feedback!
And as always, to those who come to visit Cat Got Dressed, whether its to see what I'm working on, or to get inspired yourself, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here's to 2013!
