Things I DID get at the flea...

So now for what I (we) actually purchased.  We're a 'we' now because we have a joint checking account.  And because we are to be wed.

First purchase:

Vintage Sequin Tank:
Fiancees be damned, I knew I'd leave with something sequined.  I haggled successfully for the first time in my life! After much confusion and embarrassment, I was the proud owner of this bad boy, and for half the quoted price. It also had a little sequined jacket that went with it, which tells me it is meant for an old lady, which makes it ten times more awesome.

Vintage Linen Top:
I didn't haggle for this one - it was a gift from Chris.  It is natural linen with hand embroidery around the neck and sleeves.  Its nice and stiff and scratchy like linen too, but I paired it with some skinny jeans yesterday for brunch with my gals and I loved how it looked.

Bangles:
These were in a huge bin that said "3 for $1.00" and it took every ounce of self-restraint not to come home with the whole thing. I settled on six.

Naked Lady Bottle Opener:
This was Chris's only personal purchase of the day.  It was a close call between this and something with a bird on it, but this sassy lady won.  I'm okay with this being "the other woman" in our apartment.

Enjoy this...Monday.

  1. I don't know how much Chris paid for that naked lady bottle opener but it was WORTH IT!
