I just met a girl named Maria

And I made her a dress!

That's false, I didn't just meet her.  I met her a while ago and we work together.  She's the best. I just wanted to make a West Side Story reference.


Here's her lovely one-shouldered summer dress. Similar to the design of Bitsy's, but ruched a bit differently.  Also, there's flat waistband on this.  Its not 100% complete (i.e. haphazard hem-pinning and unfinished armhole), but you get the idea.

We took a work trip last week to Brimfield, MA for the largest antique/thrift show EVER.  Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but it was friggin' huge.   I got some great vintage fabrics (being dry cleaned as we speak), so stay tuned for some awesome stuff.
