If you're like me, you have a small but growing collection of bridesmaids dresses. What do you do with all of them? I roll them up and stick them in my fabric piles to use for material - I don't have many occasions to wear long formal gowns - BUT, as they say in 27 Dresses, "...you can totally shorten it and wear it again!" And you totally can!
I wore this beautiful (but very wrinkled) gown to my friend Michelle's wedding a year ago:

Here's the flip! I'm made the neckline into a soft sweetheart, removed the waistband, hacked off about two feet of length, and took in the flares a bit:
I left the back because I think its really funky (the black part zips all the way up, but the dress form is too big at the top -- its also too small at the bottom, hence wrinklage).
I love the way it fits and I'm going to wear it to a wedding this weekend - and that is how you get two dresses out of one ladies (and gents).
