The Met Ball

If you're like me, you look forward to a good awards season, and then you get sad when its over.  But then there's the Met Ball when you've just about forgotten who was best/worst dressed at the Oscars. There were a few hits, but way more misses in my opinion.  Here's my fav:

Normally I feel like short dresses are a no-go for things like a ball (its a BALL, people), but this one has just enough pizazz.  Actually, it has a lot of pizazz.  I love how it takes on the colors of everything around it.  Her understated hair and shoes are a perfect compliment. Bravo Carey!

Florence gets an honorable mention from me for just being a big ol' bucket of crazy.  I think she looks equal parts psychotic and stunning.  She usually does actually, which is what I love about her.

And now for the misses...

Oh, Alexa this may have been okay had you remembered to change out of your errand-running shirt before getting dressed for the ball.

I mean....really.

I already am not a fan of the Dunst. But this is way to informal, I'm sorry.

SJP, c'mon. There is something to be said for leaving something to the imagination (opposite of Beyonce's ensemble, I know, I know, I don't want to talk about it...), but this is too extreme. Big Love goes to the ball.
