I'm easing back into the blogging. For those of you who live on the moon, we had one hell of a hurricane here in the east. Chris and I were extremely lucky, losing power for about a week, but that's all. We have an amazing family and were snagging hot showers, warm beds and home-cooked meals here and there. So having no power meant no sewing / no blogging. I also started my new job, so that threw a wrench in the productivity too. It also didn't seem right to be all, "omg! check out my fab new dress! woo!", while people a stone's throw from my front door lost everything they had.
That being said, its been amazing to watch everyone in our area come together to help out, whether its donating their time, money, clothing, food - anything. I made use of my resources and put together some baby blankets, because man, it is getting cold out there. I don't mention this to show you how awesome I am (I mean, that's clear, obvs), but in the hopes you may have some fabric, batting or supplies to donate to my baby blanket cause.
Many thanks to my Aunt Lizzy who donated some awesome fabric, and also to Joann's fabric for having a sick sale on fleece, having nothing to do with the hurricane but conveniently coincidentally timed.
