Take Flight

Do you guys watch Portlandia? It's hilarious.  There's an episode where they poke fun at how trendy it is to put birds on things.  And its so true.  But I love a good bird print and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that. 

I found this silk fabric while out sourcing for another project and I had to get me a yard.  I used the same pattern from the Windsor Shirt, and just eliminated the sleeves and neck ties.  It is so soft and dainty and I can't wait to make another one to pair with floral skirts in the spring.  Make another one?  Why would I make another one?  Because this one is in the shop!  Take a peek, won't you?  Then one day you and I could run into each other at a bar and be like "omg! twins!" and then clink our glasses together. Instant best friends.
