...for when its too gloomy and the apartment is a mess. I made this dress/took these photos a while ago, but it is certainly a favorite of mine.
So that totally awesome ridiculously inspiring vintage curtain fabric I bought last week and paid an arm and a leg to get dry-cleaned turned out to be not so awesome. I made a dress last night with it, couldn't wait! Chris was out at soccer, Cat had a fresh bottle of wine and all the time in the world. I slipped on the nearly finished dress and the fabric just started falling apart. I tried to start on other projects but I was so discouraged I just gave up and went to bed to read. Then my kindle battery died.
Its made this dress out of navy jersey eyelet with a light blue jersey lining that peeks through the eyelet holes. The squared-out sleeves were something that I've been seeing a lot lately and I love it. I think its a super-flattering alternative if you don't want to actually wear sleeves, but also don't want to go sleeveless.
